(COLUMBIA, Mo) August 21, 2015- Bluebird Network, a leading Midwest telecommunications and data center company, has contracted with Schneider Electric for Phase 1 of the Bluebird Underground Data Center expansion. This expansion will enhance opportunities for economic growth in the state of Missouri, with primary growth realized within southwest Missouri, by increasing local data center capacity for existing customers, and will draw new customers to this highly desired data center complex. Based on Bluebird Network growth and financial stability, Bluebird Network is well positioned to complete the data center expansion that will increase its functional space by over 16,000 sq. ft. in three phases. Phase 1 will begin in August 2015 with Phase 2 and Phase 3 to be completed by Mid-2017 or sooner as determined by customer demand and utilization.
Bluebird Network President and CEO Michael Morey stated, “This expansion will allow us to accommodate the growing demand for existing and new data center customers. Schneider Electric does great work and will keep the Bluebird vision a top priority throughout construction completion.”
“It’s great to work with a forward thinking company investing in its infrastructure to support customer requirements.
