Our company has deep roots in rural communities
Bluebird Network, headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, was formed by integrating Bluebird Media, Missouri Network Alliance, and Illinois Network Alliance.
In 2014, an underground data center was acquired and created Bluebird Underground, adding a data center facility to the Bluebird suite of services.
Today, our network has over 6,000 fiber route miles of high-speed broadband and fiber-optic connections.
Bluebird Network is a collection of Missouri and Illinois telephone companies which connect to each other and to the Internet, as well as other carriers beyond their service areas. This provides transport services, Internet access, and high speed bandwidth opportunities to rural and urban communities.
By leveraging our network, resources, and innovative employees, we develop solutions that deliver broadband opportunities across the Midwest. We have over 135 Points of Presence (POP) including the major cities of Chicago, Springfield, St, Louis, Kansas City, Columbia, and Tulsa.
Through our strategic partner, INDATEL, we realize national reach by connecting with the fiber optic networks of independent phone companies to utilize 60,000 fiber route miles and over 850 POP’s nationally; giving us the ability to connect communities all across the country with a fast, reliable, broadband infrastructure.
Our commitment is to the communities we serve and the individuals that live there.
Our employees, who are as unique as our fiber, make our organization. At Bluebird, we deliver world-class services to our enterprise, carrier and data center customers.
With our broadband backbone, we provide the resources needed for business and communities to grow and thrive. With the perfect balance of unmatched customer support and the latest technology, we can work together to create a customized network solution that meets your broadband requirements.
Why the Bluebird:
Bluebird Network’s name was inspired by the loyal state bird of Missouri. In 1927, the bluebird was recognized as the official state bird. With its light blue upper body and a cinnamon red breast that turns rust-colored in the fall, they are known as a symbol of happiness.
Bluebird Network embraces the bird’s hard-working spirit and prosperity while striving to deliver world-class services to our customers.
