MICHAEL C. MOREY

PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. Morey has been serving as President and CEO of Bluebird Network since 2012. With more than 40 years of telecommunications experience, Morey has served as President & CEO of Voxitas, Senior Vice President at NuVox, Regional Vice President of Electric Lightwave, Inc. and held various management positions within his 13 years at AT&T.

During his tenure at Bluebird Network, the company has more than tripled in size and was named as one of the fastest growing companies in Missouri in 2015. Morey’s experience and strong management skills proved successful when Bluebird Network received INC 5000 in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 as one of the fastest growing private companies nationally. Voxitas also received INC 5000 recognition in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Morey earned a BS and MBA while attending the University of Southern California.

CARLA COOPER

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Carla Cooper has been Chief Financial Officer of Bluebird Network since October 2019.  Carla plays a key role in the strategic direction of Bluebird along with overseeing all aspects of finance. She is a versatile leader bringing 3 decades of experience with various industries and believes in the concept of “Achieving Results on Purpose”, a process of supporting the vision, values and culture that leads to success.

She previously served Fidelity Communications Co as it’s VP of Finance/CFO and Director of Regulatory Accounting. She provided oversight to finance, revenue planning and was part of a dynamic team that provided strategic direction to Fidelity.

In 1996, Carla founded Cooper and Associates CPA, a public accounting firm rendering various business and individual tax, accounting, financial and estate planning services.

She received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and holds a current CPA License in the State of Missouri. She is a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs and the AICPA. She also serves on the Board of Directors of EMPAQ Group Inc. and Sullivan Educational Foundation. Carla enjoys the outdoors, her dogs, horses and various sports.

TRENT ANDERSON

CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER

Trent Anderson joined Bluebird Network in 2021 as Chief Revenue Officer. Anderson is a passionate industry leader who is committed to helping companies drive sales and revenue. As the new CRO of Bluebird Network, he oversees revenue generation including sales, sales engineering, product development, marketing and Bluebird’s expanding data center sales initiatives across the company’s dense footprint including cities such as Springfield, St. Louis and Kansas City.

Prior to Bluebird Network, Anderson created innovative, modern solutions to accelerate businesses’ sales and revenue growth. He was previously Vice President of Sales at LS Network where he led all channels and revenue growth for their network in Washington and Oregon. Before LS Networks, he was responsible for the strategic Government & Medical program at Wave Business in Oregon. In 2013 Anderson joined Frontier Communications as vice president and general manager of Oregon operations, where he served as the state leader for operations, sales, engineering, and community engagement.

Anderson is an active member in the community and serves on the boards of the American Heart Association, the American Stroke Association and Youth Athletics. He is an active parishioner at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church and a coach for the Catholic Youth Organization. He graduated from Oregon State University’s Austin School of Business.

JOHN NOLAN

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

John Nolan joined Bluebird Network in April of 2023 as Chief Development Officer. Nolan is a telecommunications veteran with experience transforming large spend and supplier ecosystems while leading expansive, global teams during his 20+ years in the industry. As CDO he is responsible for all aspects of corporate development, including M&A, business development, corporate strategy and innovation.

In his recent position as Vice President of Global Connections & Alliance Management with AT&T, Nolan was responsible for the company’s voice, data and performance relationships with other telecommunications providers in support of AT&T’s wireless and wireline business objectives around the world. Prior to that position, Nolan led the Wholesale Operations Center of Excellence including regulatory operations and various sales units responsible for more than one billion dollars in revenue. 

Nolan earned his MBA from Saint Louis University and an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He served as Vice-Chairman of the Board for Capacity Media’s Global Leaders Forum and on the MEF Board of Directors. He has also served on the Advisory Board for the Robert J. Trulaske Sr. School of Business at the University of Missouri and in various capacities supporting United Way of Dallas and the Boy Scouts of America Circle 10 Council.
