(COLUMBIA, Mo) August 4, 2015- Bluebird Network, a leading Midwest telecommunications company, has grown from building high speed fiber to building bluebird restoration. Utilizing what they have learned from the Missouri Bluebird Society, Bluebird Network will be building bluebird nest boxes and establishing a new bluebird nest box trail across the state of Missouri. The bluebird nest box trail will be established before the 2016 nesting season and will be regularly monitored by Bluebird Network employees. Bluebird Network also funded the production of educational materials, developed by the Missouri Bluebird Society, which they distribute during seminars and workshops across the state. These educational tools have proven to be a valuable resource for nest box monitors and conservationists, giving them vital information about how they can protect, and promote healthy, thriving environments for the Missouri state bird.
“I am glad Bluebird Network chose a conservation effort in line with our company strategy supporting rural and urban America while contributing to natural resources,” stated Michael Morey, President and CEO of Bluebird Network.
“We are very grateful to Bluebird Network for what they have done to help us spread awareness about what can be done to protect bluebirds. They help make it possible to educate our communities about our state bird,” stated Steve Garr, President of the Missouri Bluebird Society.
