Bluebird Network operates a 6,500 fiber route mile robust high-speed telecommunications network. We have built over 135 Points of Presence (POPs) supporting a 100 Gbps capable MPLS network with DWDM equipment used to provide data services on its fiber. Our POP sites include the major cities of Quincy, Des Moines, St. Joseph and Columbia. Bluebird Network’s fiber network is focused in Missouri and Illinois, extending into the surrounding states. Additionally, our network has a national reach made possible through its strategic network partner INDATEL, with local support through our member companies, such as Northeast Missouri Rural Telephone Company.

Bluebird Network facilities the Bluebird Underground Data Center provide data center, collocation, transport and Internet services. The Bluebird Underground Data Center is located in Springfield, Missouri, buried 85 feet underground and housed in a limestone mine. The facility utilizes multiple layers of different security, including biometrics, video, access control, personal identification numbers and multiple security guards stationed above ground and below ground. The Bluebird Network fiber optic infrastructure provides the data center with multiple fiber routes weaving in and out of the underground.
