Bluebird Network proudly recognizes National Systems Administration Day which is observed on July 30, 2021. On this day, we recognize all the System Administrators and IT professionals who keep our organization’s systems up and running. Ted Kekatos was inspired to create this day of appreciation by a Hewlett-Packard magazine advertisement that showed a system administrator receiving flowers and a fruit basket from their grateful employees as a thank you for installing new printers.
System Administrators typically install, upgrade and monitor software and hardware. More specifically, they usually maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, web servers, email, PCs, local and wide area networking both hardware/software and mid-range server hardware.
When technical issues arise, our system administrators are our first line of contact for support. When companies need to upgrade their technology, they turn to IT professionals to research, test, and install. Systems administrators stay current on the latest technologies to ensure your company is working with the latest and greatest technology. Companies of all sizes have at least one dedicated person who handles system updates and troubleshooting issues when they arise. Not only do these IT gurus keep companies’ hardware and software running smoothly, but they also keep our networks secure.
Bluebird Network plans to observe Systems Administrators Day by thanking all IT professionals for the hard work they do. Show your appreciation to your IT professionals by making sure they understand the important contribution they make to safeguarding their company’s network each and every day.
